Over the past several months, CFBF has heavily promoted and carried out our own challenges based on the Whole30 – 30 day Paleo Challenge program. 

Many of our members, and some distant friends, have completed the Whole30 – 30 Day Paleo Challenge or are currently in the process of completing this challenge.   As our members and friends have completed each 30 day challenge, we couldn’t help but sense a need to provide a bridge or transition to a Paleo lifestyle, complete with more tools, information, support, and a great how-to program to turn 30 days into a lifestyle. 

Our approach is simple, take each member through a structured, 3 stage, 90 day Lifestyle Revolution, and equip each with the tools, information and support needed to work through the First Stage – 30 day challenge, following strict Paleo guidelines, into the second stage as a Paleo life solution, and then into a third and final stage, working to teach & mentor each member to adapt and adopt Paleo as their own Lifestyle Revolution.

It is our desire, as the BodyFit team of experienced Paleo lifers, to provide each member with all the tools, information, and support necessary to integrate Paleo into their lives as a defined & permanent lifestyle change.   Our goal is to keep it simple and provide exactly what you need, precisely when you need it.   As the new CrossFit by BodyFit Paleo Lifestyle Revolution kicks off, we want to have all Paleo questions, information, discussions, and blogging to take place at www.brentscrossfitpaleolife.com.   This will help keep this information available to a broad audience and available ultimately to the masses, other Paleo people, and fellow CrossFitters.    The more our community and members contribute to this blog and share their Paleo experiences, thoughts, questions, ideas, recipes, on this blog site, the more exposure in the Paleo community & on the net we can gain.   We want anyone who wants to join this great life-changing program to be able to join in and follow along and experience the Paleo Lifestyle Revolution in real life.

So let’s get started with the CrossFit by BodyFit, multi-stage, Paleo Lifestyle Revolution!

Stage One:   Starting your first 30 days, you will follow Strict Paleo based on the Whole30 – 30 Day Challenge for complete body detoxification, and to learn the ins and outs of eating Paleo:

 Eat the following:

  • Lean meat, chicken, and fish
  • eggs
  • fruit (in moderation)
  • Vegetables (especially green leafy vegetables)
  • Nuts, eg. walnuts, brazil nuts, macadamias, almonds.
  • Berries - strawberries, blueberries, raspberries etc.
  • Healthy fats such as nuts, seeds, avocados & coconut oil.

Do NOT Eat or consume any of the following:

  • Processed foods
  • No alcohol, of any kind
  • Grains – including bread, pasta, noodles, tortillas or rice
  • Legumes, Beans – including string beans, kidney beans, lentils, peanuts, snow-peas and peas or cashews (a family of their own)
  • White Potatoes, sweet potatoes or yams
  • Dairy products
  • Sugar (real or artificial), Honey
  • Coffee Creamers

Stage Two:   Start your second 30 days, immediately following the last day of Stage One following “The Paleo Solution” by Robb Wolf:

 Eat the following:

  • Lean meat, chicken, and fish
  • eggs
  • fruit (in moderation)
  • Vegetables, especially green leafy vegetables and some root vegetables
  • Nuts, eg. walnuts, brazil nuts, macadamias, almonds.  Cashews are ok. 
  • Berries – strawberries, blueberries, raspberries etc.
  • Try to increase your intake of: Root vegetables like carrots, turnips, parsnips, & rutabagas, but in moderation
  • Healthy fats such as nuts, seeds, avocados & coconut oil.
  • 100% Pure Honey
  • Processed deli meats, beef jerky & chicken sausage are ok, but try to buy with lower sodium and sugar if possible.
  • Yams (in moderation, especially after a workout)
  • Fruit juices as a sweetener
  • Certain legumes such as green beans, sugar snap peas & snow peas
  • Processed goods such as jars of olives, sauces, spices and mixtures like tomato sauces, spaghetti sauces, salsas, curry (but only if the label indicates they are clean)

Do NOT Eat or consume any of the following:

  • Processed foods
  • No alcohol, of any kind
  • Grains – including bread, pasta, noodles, tortillas or rice

Stage Three:   Start your third 30 days, immediately following the last day of Stage Two maintaining a Paleo Lifestyle:

 Eat the following:

  • fruit (in moderation)
  • Vegetables, especially green leafy vegetables and some root vegetables
  • Nuts, eg. walnuts, brazil nuts, macadamias, almonds.  Cashews are ok. 
  • Berries strawberries, blueberries, raspberries etc.
  • Try to increase your intake of: Root vegetables like carrots, turnips, parsnips, & rutabagas
  • Healthy fats such as nuts, seeds, avocados & coconut oil.

So at this point, we’re not going to tell you what you shouldn’t eat.  As you work to implement Paleo into your lifestyle, you may from time to time choose to eat some of Phase One & Phase Two “off limits items”.    We want you to work to adapt the above information and the information we provide to your lifestyle.

Overall Lifestyle Revolution  requirements:

  • First, in all requirements, you are on an honor system.   You are only cheating yourself if you provide us with falsified information.  What joy can there be in a victory that you did not earn… right?
  • There is a $30 “Membership Fee” for the entire multi-phase program.  This fee is an administration fee to cover all printed materials, admin costs and maintenance costs associated to run and maintain this program.  If you are at a distance the money can be mailed direct to CrossFit by BodyFit at 769-C S.   • Bodyweight & body fat measurements must be taken on the day you start each stage (beginning of each 30 days).   If you are at a distance, you can simply email the measurements to us @ www.bodyfit4everybody.com
  • If you have recently (within the past 45 to 60 days) completed a 30 Day Paleo program and have maintained Paleo in a fairly strict format since, you may choose to start the program at Phase Two.  Although, we highly recommend that you start from the beginning to achieve maximum results and benefits.
  • You must keep a daily food, exercise, and sleep log/journal for the entire 90 days (provided).
  • You must agree to use http://brentscrossfitpaleolife.com/  as your main communication source for post ups, blogging, questions, and discussions with other members.  This site has been established as a tool to host the CrossFit by BodyFit Paleo Lifestyle Revolution program.
  • Before & After photos are encouraged but not mandatory.  If you plan to take photos, we recommend that you take them at the start & completion of each 30 day phase.   You should take them in the same clothes, less is better, like swim suit or workout clothes.  You should have a second party take both front and profile photos of you.  Be sure to smile!  Feel free to email the photos to us at www.bodyfit4everybody.com .  We will not post, show, or release any photos, without your specific direction and written approval by you.   Only the CrossFit by Bodyfit Team will see your photos if they are provided to us.   Photos definitely provide a good snapshot of progress!
  • Drink water with a fervor.  Try and drink ½ your bodyweight in ounces throughout each day.   Shoot to start off each morning with 2 – 10 oz glasses of water before your breakfast.  
  • There is no set limit on the amount of food to eat.  You simply eat off of the “Eat the Following” list until you are full.  But remember fruit, nuts and seeds in moderation.

Stage One Requirements:

  • Stage One is 30 calendar days from the day you start.
  • Read the complete Whole30 V3.11 
  • If you do not understand something, please don’t hesitate to ask us.  
  • This is STRICT PALEO, so there will be absolutely no cheat meals or cheat days allowed.   If you cheat you will pay CrossFit by Bodyfit $20.  If you cheat, the 30 day clock will be re-set.   The first 30 days is a detoxification for your body and eating any foods off the “do Not eat” list WILL impact your body period.
  • Once you commit, commit fully.  Stay strong and don’t give in to complacency, fear, family pressures, peer pressures, stress, or that tiny voice in your head that will be telling you “you can’t do this”.
  • We highly recommend for Phase 1 – Strict Paleo that you stay away from fast food restaurants.   While some offer choices that can be Paleo tweaked, most are very difficult to order from.   If you must, and we understand that you are bound to be in a un-prepared food emergency,  remember, lean meat & veggies only.  No sodas or sugar drinks, no special sauces, mustard only!  Unsweetened iced tea is a good option.  Remember you have to order properly and demand what you want! 
  • Restrict your fruit, nut and seed consumption within the first 14 days.  A little is good, too much is not good.

Stage Two Requirements:

  • Stage Two is 30 calendar days & begins the following day after Stage One ends.
  • We highly recommend that you purchase & read Robb Wolf’s book “The Paleo Solution”  The book can be purchased at book stores like Barnes & Noble or off Amazon.com.  It would be great to start reading this book, about 10 days out from completion of Phase 1 so that you are ready to go on day one of Phase Two start.
  • You are allowed 1 cheat meal (not day) per week.

Stage Three Requirements:

  • Stage Three is 30 calendar days & begins the following day after Stage Two ends.
  • You are allowed 1 cheat meal per week.
  • You are allowed more flexibility on the use of sauces & spices.
  • You are allowed 1 beer or glass of wine per week.

    I do live in upstate ny not sure if there is a requirement of what state one needs to be in but i would like to hold myself accountable and would like to def be a part of this

      Yep, very active site and Paleo community. New Paleo recipes, journaling, and Paleo insight is posted up daily. You are more than welcome to join our group. The journal can easily be emailed to you. Once you join, I will add you to our facebook user group. Tons of support on that site also. We look forward to having you aboard. As far as accountability, at a distance, you will have to hold yourself accountable. You can simply provide us your weight and BF measurements (if you can get them) and then as you move along, we can track your progress.
